Amanda Schneider, Intake Specialist
Amanda started her work in health and wellness in 2014, becoming a Certified Yoga Instructor.. Her passion for well-being continued with her gaining certification as a Level
2 Essentrics Instructor and later certification from Guided Meditation Framework as a
registered facilitator. Realizing that her true passion came from helping people in need,
she began work at the Crisis Text Line in 2020 and later earned the rank of a Level 8
Crisis Responder. To date, she has helped over 1000 individuals in need and
completed nearly 1100 hours of Crisis work. Through her work at the Crisis Text Line,
she decided her true passion was in longer-term support for mental health, leading her
to enroll in Yorkville University’s Masters in Counseling Psychology. She will graduate in
2025 with planned registration in both the CRPO and CCPA organizations.
Amanda thrives in her role as the first point of contact at OTC. She answers prospective
clients’ questions masterfully and navigates the landscape of their lives to best
understand their needs, and to match them with the best suited therapist on our team to
work with them. Amanda also aids clients by arranging their initial therapy sessions.
