Christine Kerr has always had a passion for helping others and being a supportive, empathetic presence for those in need. Known as the friend, sister, and daughter who takes the time to listen and understand, Christine brings this same compassion and attentiveness into the therapy space. As a therapist, she is eager to offer that same listening ear to clients—recognizing that everyone faces silent battles and may need a safe space or gentle encouragement to take the next step toward healing.
Christine is dedicated to creating a non-judgmental, open environment where individuals feel free to express themselves without fear of being misunderstood. As a person of colour raised in a Caribbean household, she personally understands the cultural pressures and expectations that can weigh heavily on individuals. With this perspective, she aims to collaborate with clients to develop personalized treatment plans that are both realistic and supportive of their unique challenges.
Christine holds a Bachelor of Applied Science in Psychology and is currently pursuing a Master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling. With years of academic and practical experience, she embraces an integrative therapeutic approach, recognizing that healing is not a one-size-fits-all process. While she primarily draws from Person-Centered Therapy, she also incorporates elements of Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) and Mindfulness-Based Therapy. These approaches are selected for their ability to foster empathy, build therapeutic alliance, and support clients in navigating life’s complexities with greater confidence and clarity.
