Mackenzie Delaney

Mackenzie Delaney,  INTERN THERAPIST

At times, life can pull us in directions we never anticipated often leaving us feeling disconnected, uncertain, or emotionally drained. Mackenzie recognizes that every
person’s story is shaped by unique experiences. Mackenzie is an intern therapist currently completing her Master of Arts in Counselling Psychology at Yorkville University. She brings a strong foundation in Forensic Psychology and holds a diploma in Community Justice and Services. Mackenzie’s academic and practical experiences have shaped her deep passion for supporting individuals through life’s challenges, particularly in areas of stress, personal growth, and relationships.

She completed her internship at Grand Valley Institution for Women, where she gained meaningful insight into the impact of trauma, the importance of rehabilitation, and the power of compassionate support. This experience reinforced her commitment to helping clients manage emotional distress while building self-awareness, resilience, and deeper connections.

Upon completion of Mackenzie’s practicum, she seeks to offer a collaborative, strength-based approach to therapy. She believes that self-awareness is a powerful tool for healing and is dedicated to creating a safe, inclusive, and empowering space where clients feel truly seen and heard.  She is especially passionate about working with individuals experiencing anxiety, depression, interpersonal conflict, low self-esteem, and life transitions. Mackenzie’s goal is to walk alongside her clients as they explore their patterns, reconnect with their values, and develop the confidence and skills needed to move forward with clarity and purpose.
