Anabel Livshitz

Intern Therapist

Anabel is a qualifying CRPO therapist who offers compassionate, client-centred care grounded in warmth, curiosity, and respect. She works with individuals, couples, and families navigating challenges such as anxiety, depression, trauma and PTSD, panic, burnout, ADHD, addictions and recovery, eating disorders, and relational concerns including communication, boundaries, and codependency.

She has extensive experience supporting autistic children and their families, as well as adults in rehabilitation and crisis settings. Anabel draws from evidence-based approaches including CBT, DBT, ACT, EFT, Family Systems, Narrative Therapy, and mindfulness- and trauma-informed care, tailoring her approach to each client’s needs.

Fluent in English, Russian, and Hebrew, Anabel values the role of culture, spirituality, and identity, and is committed to creating an inclusive, non-judgmental space for growth and healing.

Anabel is a qualifying CRPO member and offers therapy with warmth, curiosity, and a deep
respect for each client’s journey. She provides individual, couples, and family therapy,
supporting people through a wide range of challenges including anxiety, depression, trauma,
PTSD, panic attacks, burnout, social anxiety, ADHD, eating disorders, addictions, and
recovery from substance use. She also works with relational concerns such as marriage and
partnership challenges, codependency, communication difficulties, isolation, and
boundary-setting, as well as areas like body image, perfectionism, emotional regulation,
impulse control, life skills, and work-life balance.
Anabel has worked extensively with autistic children, helping them and their families
navigate developmental and social challenges with understanding, patience, and
individualized support. She further has experience in rehabilitation settings, supporting
adults facing addictions and complex mental health challenges, helping them rebuild
stability, develop coping skills, and work toward recovery. Additionally, her work on a
suicide crisis line has strengthened her ability to listen and respond with empathy in
moments of distress and crisis.
Anabel draws from a variety of therapeutic approaches, including Acceptance and
Commitment Therapy (ACT), Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behaviour
Therapy (DBT), Emotion-Focused Therapy (EFT), Family Systems Therapy, Narrative
Therapy, mindfulness-based practices, trauma-focused care, self-compassion, and
strengths-based approaches. Anabel adapts these methods to meet each client’s unique
needs, fostering a collaborative and supportive space for growth.
Coming from a diverse background and fluent in English, Russian, and Hebrew, Anabel
values the role of culture, spirituality, and identity in mental health. She is committed to
providing an inclusive, non-judgmental environment where clients can explore challenges,
uncover strengths, and build resilience
