Areeba is a dedicated and compassionate therapist who actively provides evidence-based, culturally responsive, and client-centered care. She strives to create a non-judgmental space where clients feel heard, understood, and supported. Committed to fostering a safe and empowering environment, she helps clients navigate their challenges and build resilience. Drawing from various therapeutic modalities, Areeba tailors her approach to each client’s unique journey, ensuring personalized support that fosters meaningful and lasting change.

 

Areeba is a psychotherapist (qualifying), she holds a Master of Arts in Counselling Psychology, and is committed to providing a safe, non-judgmental space where clients can pause, process, and heal. Areeba brings a strong foundation in mental health support, crisis intervention, and therapeutic skills.

Most recently, Areeba worked as a Mental Health Crisis Worker at the Canadian Mental Health Association in collaboration with The Centre for Addiction and Mental Health. Through this experience, she developed expertise in crisis intervention, counseling, and goal setting. These roles strengthened her ability to build rapport, provide support, and collaborate with clients to develop actionable next steps tailored to their unique circumstances. She incorporates therapeutic approaches such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Emotion Focused Brief Therapy (EFT), and Strength-Based Therapy (SBT) to support client growth.

Areeba’s background also includes several years of healthcare experience in various roles providing direct patient care at her local hospital, deepening her understanding of the intersection between mental and physical well-being. With a strong commitment to culturally sensitive and trauma-informed care, she is passionate about breaking down barriers to mental health support, particularly within BIPOC communities.

Rooted in a client-centered, evidence-based approach, Areeba strives to empower individuals with the tools they need to navigate life’s challenges and build resilience. She believes that every client’s story deserves to be heard, understood, and supported with empathy and care.
