Kayon Malcolm

Intern Therapist

Kayon Malcolm is a Registered Social Worker and Master of Social Work student at the University of Toronto, specializing in Children and Their Families. She is passionate about supporting children, youth, adults, and families as they navigate life’s challenges and transitions. Kayon is committed to creating a safe, inclusive, and non-judgmental space where clients feel heard, respected, and empowered throughout their therapeutic journey.

Kayon works with children, youth, adults, and families navigating anxiety, stress, trauma, life transitions, parenting concerns, family conflict, self-esteem, and identity-related challenges. She approaches her work through a trauma-informed, strengths-based, and anti-oppressive lens, recognizing the impact that personal experiences, relationships, culture, and systemic factors can have on well-being. Kayon values meeting clients where they are and believes that every individual possesses unique strengths that can support
growth and healing.

Drawing from Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Solution-Focused Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, mindfulness-based practices, and narrative approaches, Kayon works collaboratively with clients to identify goals, develop coping strategies, and build resilience. Her therapeutic style is warm, compassionate, and client-centred, with a focus on helping individuals develop greater self-awareness, strengthen relationships, and create meaningful change in their lives.
