Patricia De Silva is a Master of Social Work (MSW) student with over 12 years of experience supporting children, youth, adults, and families in diverse community, educational, and residential settings. Her background as a Child and Youth Worker has allowed her to work alongside individuals navigating anxiety, depression, trauma, behavioural challenges, life transitions, and complex family dynamics.

Patricia is committed to creating a warm, compassionate, and non-judgmental space where clients feel heard, respected, and empowered. She believes that healing begins through authentic connection and collaboration, and she strives to build strong therapeutic relationships grounded in empathy, cultural humility, and trust.

Drawing from strengths-based, trauma-informed, anti-oppressive, and person-centred approaches, Patricia tailors therapy to each individual’s unique experiences, values, and goals. She recognizes that every person’s story is shaped by their relationships, culture, identity, and life experiences, and she works collaboratively with clients to foster resilience, self-awareness, and meaningful change.

Patricia has experience supporting clients experiencing anxiety, depression, stress, emotional regulation difficulties, self-esteem concerns, grief, relationship challenges, parenting concerns, and major life transitions. She is particularly passionate about supporting racialized communities, young adults, caregivers, and individuals working through the effects of trauma while helping clients rediscover their strengths and move toward lives that feel more fulfilling and aligned with their values.

As an MSW intern, Patricia is dedicated to lifelong learning and evidence-informed practice. She is honoured to walk alongside clients on their healing journey, offering a supportive environment where they can explore challenges, develop practical coping strategies, and build confidence in creating lasting change.

Patricia welcomes clients from all backgrounds and is committed to providing inclusive, affirming, and culturally responsive care where every individual feels safe, valued, and understood.
