His therapeutic approach is integrative, drawing from evidence-based modalities such as CBT, DBT, Person-Centered Therapy, and Adlerian Therapy. Pooya tailors his methods to meet the unique needs of each client, addressing concerns like anxiety, depression, trauma, low self-esteem, obsessive-compulsive behaviors, relationship issues, and life transitions.

In his work with trauma survivors, he emphasizes creating a safe environment where clients can process past experiences and build resilience. Utilizing trauma-informed practices, Pooya supports healing and empowerment. With a passion for cultural understanding, he is attuned to the experiences of individuals from diverse backgrounds and recognizes the impact of culture, identity, and marginalization on mental health.

Through Adlerian Therapy, Pooya focuses on understanding an individual’s lifestyle, beliefs, and goals to foster personal growth and social interest. This holistic approach encourages clients to develop self-awareness, build healthier relationships, and find meaningful direction in their lives.

An affiliate of the College of Registered Psychotherapists of Ontario (CRPO) and a member of the Ontario Psychological Association, Pooya is dedicated to continuous learning and professional excellence.
