“You don’t have to carry it alone. I’m here to walk beside the parts of you that feel hurt, lost, or misunderstood.”
Shanthi’s approach to therapy is grounded in deep empathy, authenticity, and unconditional positive regard. She creates a safe, non-judgmental space where individuals and couples can explore their emotions, process trauma, and reconnect with their inner strength.
With specialized training in trauma-informed approaches like Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Internal Family Systems (IFS), Shanthi supports clients navigating challenges such as childhood emotional neglect, cultural trauma, emotional dysregulation, ADHD, anger, anxiety, and depression. Her work is also informed by Polyvagal Theory, helping clients understand their nervous system responses and develop tools for self-regulation, safety, and emotional balance.
Shanthi incorporates shadow work, gently guiding clients to confront and integrate suppressed parts of themselves. This process fosters powerful insight, especially around internalized shame, harsh self-judgment, and emotional overwhelm. She offers compassionate support to those carrying guilt and shame from betrayal and broken trust, such as infidelity, abandonment, or financial scams—helping restore self-worth and personal empowerment.
She also works with individuals facing grief, loss, and major life transitions, using Interpersonal Psychotherapy (IPT) to navigate relational changes and emotional adjustment. Her therapy space is especially welcoming to those experiencing cultural displacement, offering sensitive support for immigrants and refugees adjusting to new environments, identities, and expectations.
Shanthi helps clients rebuild self-esteem, identity, assertiveness, and emotional flexibility, drawing from Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) and Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT). With couples, she uses the Gottman Method and EFT to strengthen emotional connection, improve communication, and resolve conflict.
She also supports individuals struggling with emotional eating and body image, integrating mindfulness and body positivity to encourage self-acceptance and a healthier relationship with food and the body.
Through her integrative, culturally sensitive, and client-centered approach, Shanthi offers a healing space for clients to explore trauma, navigate life transitions, and grow in resilience, connection, and self-compassion.
