A note from Sofiya:
We all need someone to talk to from time to time. Someone who will listen attentively to us without passing judgment. As early in life as I can remember, I have possessed an innate desire to help others. I am an empathic and highly attuned individual with genuine caring, compassion, and unconditional positive regard for others.

Childhood trauma had a profound effect on me and ultimately inspired me to pursue a career in education. My focus has been to foster inclusion and to empower others, which has carried over into my role as a psychotherapist. I work with a diverse clientele and address a number of issues, including trauma, self-esteem, body image issues, eating disorders, anxiety, depression, and general life stress. I am also passionate about play-based and expressive arts therapies, two areas in which I have gained expertise in
my work as an educator.

Through my own personal challenges with infertility and pregnancy loss, my goal is to support others struggling to grow or expand their families, as well as to help to alleviate the shame and isolation that often accompanies infertility and grief.
I utilize a client-centred, cognitive-behavioural and a solution-focused approach, embedding holistic practices such as mindfulness and spirituality. It is important for me to tailor my approach to each client’s individual needs, working collaboratively to navigate their challenges and achieve their goals.

I hope to work with you and to support you on your wellness journey.
