We only use proven, evidence-based therapy approaches to provide care that’s both effective and tailored to your specific needs. Our therapists personalize their approach to your goals and challenges, thus helping you build the tools and understanding needed to feel better and overcome your issues. Here are our main therapy approaches:
CBT is a goal-oriented therapy that focuses on changing negative thought patterns and behaviors. It is based on the belief that our thoughts, feelings, and behaviors are interconnected and that changing our thoughts can change our behavior and emotional responses. CBT involves identifying negative or unhelpful thought patterns, challenging them with evidence-based reasoning, and replacing them with positive and more realistic thoughts.
DBT is a type of cognitive-behavioral therapy that is specifically designed to treat individuals with borderline personality disorder (BPD) and other complex mental health issues. It combines standard CBT techniques with mindfulness and acceptance-based strategies.
SFBT is a brief therapy that focuses on helping individuals identify and achieve their goals. It is based on the belief that individuals have the ability to find solutions to their problems and that the therapist’s role is to guide them in this process. SFBT involves asking questions that help individuals identify their strengths and resources and develop a plan to achieve their goals.
ACT is a type of cognitive-behavioral therapy that focuses on increasing psychological flexibility and acceptance of distressing experiences. It is based on the belief that suffering arises from our attempts to avoid or control unpleasant experiences. ACT involves developing mindfulness skills and values-based behaviors that promote psychological flexibility and acceptance.
Is an approach to therapy that recognizes and responds to the impacts of trauma on an individual’s mental, emotional, and physical well-being. It is based on the understanding that trauma can have long-lasting effects and can significantly influence a person’s thoughts, emotions, behaviors, and relationships.
EFT is a type of therapy that focuses on helping individuals understand and regulate their emotions. It is based on the belief that emotions play a central role in psychological well-being and that emotional distress arises from unmet emotional needs. EFT involves exploring emotions in a safe and supportive environment and developing new emotional experiences that promote healing and growth.
